It is interesting to see how every generation has it's own special toys that can define it. My brother had two obsessions when he was a boy. He loved the He-Man series and he loved his Transformers toys. He had a lot of both of them, and he played with them all the time. But playing by himself was hard, so I sometimes played with him. I wasn't a huge fan of either one, so I suspect that he didn't have much fun with me. I really didn't know what I was doing, and I didn't know a lot about the toys. But my brother really loved them and on a rainy day, he could easily spend hours playing with his toys by himself.

The Transformers toys he had were most definitely fun for me though. It was fun to watch how they work as they change from one thing to the other. They were quite intriguing. These Transformers toys that he had were the ones that he saw on television every week. They were for the most part cars and trucks that turned into other things, but there were all kinds of transformers you could buy. He knew he would not get every single one of them that he wanted because some of those transformers toys were very expensive.

A few years ago, I noticed that Transformers toys are making a comeback, but not at the stage they were when my brother was crazy about them. I don't know if they have a new cartoon or not, but there must be some way that children are getting interested if the Transformers toys are making a comeback. The toy will soon follow a popular cartoon or movie. Though I didn't realize it when I was a kid, it seems that if you can get a cartoon made that kids will love you are almost guaranteed success in merchandise.

If you look in your attic and find some of the older Transformers toys, you may want to get them out to give to your kids. They will surely like your old toys, but you will probably have to offer them the latest models that you can find in stores if that is something they are into. You could also sell the old Transformers toys, if you don't have children, to those who are now collecting them because they loved them as a child. Some people strongly remember the toys they had when they were young, and they are looking to buy them somewhere and bring them back home for them of for their kids.
